“The best executive decision I’ve made was to shape up”
As a time poor CEO and company director who travels interstate at least twice a month and overseas every couple of months, my record of gym membership and self motivated fitness regime has been terrible. Having turned 50 with one teenage son and another in his early 20s also upped the competitive factor and I knew I needed to do something. Paul Elby designed a fitness regime that has brought me back to a level I have not felt since I was 30. I have made this a business decision and 3 days a week this is my most important appointment. I am leaner, stronger, fitter and as a consequence happier which has given me a clearer mind for work. I also take the fitness regime with me when I travel and use hotel gyms. Explore fitness has given me the motivation and the results to ensure that I will continue to stay healthy. All it took was a bit of one on one encouragement to build up my self belief.

“I Dropped The Baby Weight And Got Into The Best Shape Ever”
“After having my 3rd child I was determined to get back to where I looked and felt my best. I knew if I joined a gym I would not stay focused enough to achieve any results. My life is hectic raising 3 super charged children and it is too easy to make excuses and never achieve the results I desire. With explorefitness I truly feel I have a partner in my journey to better wellbeing. They help me make a positive difference to my health at every session. I’ve gained a better attitude about my body, my health and my weight in a supportive atmosphere. I’ve lost the baby weight and I’m still going strong. I not only feel amazing I have the support and direction I need to reach my goals”.

10 weeks I am 10 kilos lighter
Paul, thank you so much for helping me get my fitness and shape back! After 10 weeks I am 10 kilos lighter, but more importantly I feel so much healthier. I am no longer out of breath at the slightest exertion and my resistance is much stronger – so much so I have enrolled in the 10km Bridge to Brisbane. The best thing about it is I have enjoyed my 10 weeks of training, you didn’t push too hard but I felt that I had done a good work out at the end of the hour. I miss my training sessions being back at work and am hoping to start the evening boxing soon.

My ultimate goal is to climb the 7 summits of the world. “Not and easy task” I realised I needed the structure and guidance of a professional trainer, and that is what brought me here to explorefitness. I’ve been working out for about three months with Paul. I am provided a special focus just for me. Paul is attentive, has a positive attitude, passionate about adventure and is a great motivator. He challenges me weekly in my routines. I am definitely stronger and more determined than ever to climb my mountains. Thank you Paul for your time and diligents
Regards.

Hi Paul,

Here I am “tooled up” and ready to go on the Mount Aspiring Mountain Skills Course. Mount Aspiring is in the South Island of New Zealand.
I learnt how to fall down crevasses, climb snow-covered mountains, and traverse up and down glaciers.
I had a fantastic time and all due to your incredible training. Thanks for “tuning” me up so I could achieve this tremendous goal.

In December 2007 my partner Paul and I decided to go on an adventure trip of a lifetime in February 2009 – to Antarctica and trekking for 5 days in the Torres del Paine National Park in southern Chile.
I knew I needed to vastly improve my strength and fitness. I wanted a trainer who specialises in adventure sports, so I began working with Paul at explorefitness
Paul worked with my physio and designed a special program to quickly build up the strength and endurance I needed for the trek. He was always very encouraging and motivating – helping me believe that I would be able to do it!
In February this year I completed the 5 day trek. And even more importantly, I climbed some very steep, difficult and rocky terrain and made it up to the lake and the towers…..and back down again!! It wasn’t easy: in fact it was a real challenge……maybe like Everest was for Sir Edmund Hillary!!
I felt a great sense of achievement and I am very proud of my persistence and stamina.
Thank you Paul, for all the care and attention you put into working with me over the months. I completed the climb for me- and for you!!
And I am coming back to keep up my fitness level – it feels so good!

With two young children and a time-intensive job, what had been irregular exercise had become barely occasional and pretty unsatisfying over the past few years – something that I increasingly failed to fit in around the edges of life.
The biggest issue for me was finding time and using that time smartly to stop the rot that was setting in. I’ve never been overweight but I didn’t feel fit and had no strength. I’m no good at gyms and never really imagined having a personal trainer but since starting to train with Paul three months ago, I’ve been surprised and really happy with my progress and it is now an easily manageable part of life. I don’t have to think about it or juggle to fit it in and it works in well with my family too. We all know that I have my
scheduled appointments each week and I just go. Having it locked in also gives me the confidence that this is not a phase but something that I can easily manage and maintain for the long term – which is a pretty satisfying feeling in itself.
Under Paul’s direction, it’s been a smart and efficient way to get fit too. I know that I’ve developed far more with Paul and in far less time than if I tried to do it myself. Each session has been different and is a building block for the next. Paul is obviously diligent and thoughtful in planning each and every session for my individual needs – and it seems to work. I’ve been surprised about how quickly I started to feel and see my progress and this continues every week. I’m fitter, have more energy and developing core strength for probably the first time in my life.
Paul has a great, non-threatening approach too. He is persistent, enthusiastic and encouraging – but in a friendly, courteous way rather than being a drill sergeant. He is dedicated and genuinely excited for you when you make progress. You know that he is passionate about this stuff.
If you’re time poor or just want to actually achieve your fitness goals, I highly recommend having a personal trainer and have no hesitation in recommending Paul for the job.

I have achieved a stronger muscled body and greater fitness. If I did not have Paul gently nudging my body in the right direction I would still be unhappy and unfit.I have known Paul as my personal fitness trainer over the past year Jan08-Dec09 and he has been very patient with me and has listened to what I wanted and what my body could achieve. Paul is very human, apart from listening he is patient, explains why you are doing a particular exercise and gently pushes you in the right direction which can,t be done on your own.
Cheers Loraine
Paul is a great motivator and really cares about you the person. His workouts are very effective and very safe. Paul is careful to take age and health issues into consideration with his clients. This approach is important and necessary for any age group. He is very dedicated in helping you achieve your health and fitness goals. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer.
